Mullae-dong, located in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, has made a remarkable appearance on the list of the "World’s Coolest Neighbourhoods" for 2025. This prestigious recognition, announced by a well-known British travel and culture magazine, highlights the neighborhood's unique charm and cultural significance.
On the 24th of the month, the publication revealed its selection of 39 neighborhoods globally that have been named as the coolest for the year. Mullae-dong secured the sixth position, following notable spots like Jimbocho in Tokyo, Boggerhout in Antwerp, Bairro da Batata in São Paulo, Camberwell in London, and Avondale in Chicago.
The magazine described Mullae-dong as a place that has undergone a significant transformation. Once the heart of Seoul’s steel and metal processing industry, it has now evolved into one of the city's most atmospheric art hubs.
